The Corona crisis is the biggest crisis in the history of the European Union since its foundation. In the first few weeks of the pandemic, the response of the European Community seemed rather subdued and irrelevant. With a European Reconstruction Fund, the European Union is now trying to find an appropriate answer to the crisis and to reduce the existing tensions between the EU member states.
What consequences will the corona pandemic have on political and economic Europe?
Are the taken measures comprehensible and justifiable for all of Europe? What are the lessons from the current situation for politics, but also for companies and economic actors? Which challenges are there for companies and which for politics?
In this online event we are looking for the answers to these questions with our alumnus Dr. Lasse Becker.
Dr. Lasse Becker is an alumnus of Economics who graduated in 2009 and received his doctorate in Göttingen in 2015. Since 2000, he has been actively involved in various positions among the Young Liberals (Junge Liberale) and the Free Democratic Party (FDP). From 2010 to 2013 he held the federal Presidency of the Young Liberals and was a member of the federal Executive Board of the FDP. He is still a member of the Council of Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). Dr. Lasse Becker is currently the managing director of DRONCO GmbH, a leading German company in abrasives production, and vice president of the parent company OSBORN.
